So, wrapping up a week long glaze-and-fire-like-mad marathon in preparation for this weekend's Mint Museum Potters Market Invitational. Almost staying up all a night a few days (?), I have together a good body of new work to have for the sale. Here are some pics of pots in process and then some finished gorignac jars and cups fresh out of the first glaze kiln for this cycle.
One reason for my mad dash glaze-o-rama is that I have another big sale the end of this month.
So, I was attempting to get far enough along that the next few weeks might have a more leisurely (ha!) pace at glazing and finishing work. Check out www.dougdotsonpottery.com for more details on this sale. It's called 3 Guys* and Some Pottery and is a lot of fun and we usually sell a lot of work. Hope to see some of you there!
